Job Summary
South32 is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical maintenance activities at the Hermosa Project.
This role focuses on leading maintenance teams, ensuring safe and efficient execution of electrical work, and supporting reliable plant and equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical maintenance for fixed plant and mobile equipment
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans
- Lead teams and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Coordinate shift plans and maintenance activities
- Monitor performance, safety metrics, and work quality
- Manage work orders and reporting using SAP and internal systems
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance teams
- Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime
- Ensure teams have tools, training, and resources to perform safely
Qualifications
– High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in electrical or industrial environments
- Experience with medium/high voltage systems
- 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role preferred
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
Additional Experience May Include
- Electrical or instrumentation apprenticeship
- Experience in mining or heavy industry
- Familiarity with SAP or maintenance management systems
