Job Summary
Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a District Exploration Manager to lead exploration strategy and execution across the Cortez District. This role focuses on driving high-value mineral discoveries through the management of exploration programs, technical teams, and strategic initiatives.

You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, managing exploration portfolios, and aligning regional exploration efforts with corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performing exploration teams
  • Implement exploration strategies aligned with regional and corporate objectives
  • Manage greenfield and brownfield exploration programs
  • Oversee project portfolios, budgets, and performance metrics
  • Support resource growth and discovery of new mineral deposits
  • Negotiate and manage commercial exploration agreements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Deliver business-focused reports, KPIs, and strategic presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 15–20 years of experience in mining exploration and leadership roles
  • Strong technical expertise in multiple deposit types and exploration methods
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience managing exploration programs and budgets
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities

Additional experience may include:

  • Experience across multiple commodities and deposit styles
  • Track record of successful mineral discoveries
  • Experience working across regional or global exploration programs
