Job Summary
Komatsu is seeking a Director, AI & Data to lead enterprise-wide AI and data transformation initiatives across North America.

This role focuses on defining strategy, governance, and advanced analytics capabilities to drive smarter decisions, scalable innovation, and long-term business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise AI and data strategy aligned with business priorities
  • Define and manage AI/data roadmap, architecture, and operating model
  • Embed AI and advanced analytics into core business processes (forecasting, predictive analytics, automation)
  • Establish data governance, stewardship, and standardization practices
  • Partner with IT and business units to modernize data platforms
  • Build and lead high-performing teams (data scientists, engineers, analytics leaders)
  • Champion ethical AI, data privacy, and compliance
  • Drive data literacy and AI adoption across the organization
  • Monitor and optimize performance of AI and data initiatives

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
– Master’s degree or MBA preferred
– 10+ years in data and analytics leadership
– 5+ years leading enterprise AI/data initiatives

Additional Experience May Include

  • Deep knowledge of AI/ML technologies and cloud data platforms
  • Experience driving large-scale data and AI transformations
  • Expertise in data governance, privacy, and compliance
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in change management and organizational transformation
