Job Summary
Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Safety & Health Specialist to support occupational health, industrial hygiene, risk management, compliance, inspections, incident investigations, and safety training across the Cortez District.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical safety and health guidance to site management.
• Participate in internal inspections and audits.
• Support Industrial Hygiene and Safety & Health planning activities.
• Support compliance with federal, state, company, and MSHA requirements.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Develop and track corrective actions.
• Facilitate formal and team-based risk assessments.
• Maintain safety documentation and database records.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions.
• Deliver MSHA-related training including new hire, refresher, and contractor hazard training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with approximately three years of experience preferred.
• Associate degree with approximately six years of industry experience may also be considered.
• Extensive industry experience with demonstrated safety leadership may also qualify.
• MSHA Blue Card Instructor credential preferred.
• Knowledge of the Federal Mine Safety & Health Act preferred.
• Industrial hygiene experience preferred.
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience preferred.
• CMSP, CSP, or similar professional safety certification preferred.
