Job Summary
Ausenco is seeking a QA/QC Manager – Geotechnical to support its Geotechnical and Tailings services offerings in the United States.
This role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities for construction projects, including contractor supervision, regulatory compliance, testing, inspection, and reporting for geotechnical and construction materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for construction projects
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, and project specifications
- Supervise contractors and monitor construction progress
- Perform and supervise testing and inspection of construction materials and structures
- Perform and supervise testing and inspection services for soils, geotextiles, concrete, rebar, structural steel, and coatings
- Prepare detailed QA/QC reports including test results and inspection findings
- Ensure construction activities comply with relevant regulations and standards
- Perform and supervise geotechnical testing including soil, concrete, and aggregate testing
- Support quality control for geotechnical and tailings-related construction activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or Geology
- 7-10 years of experience supervising earthmoving projects
- Previous experience in mine supervision
- Knowledge of laboratory testing including granulometry and compaction
- Ability to interpret engineering plans
- Competence in soil, concrete, and asphalt testing
- Experience with foundation inspection, steel structure inspection, and pile inspection
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes for construction and geotechnical projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
