  • Develop and evaluate flowsheets using solvent extraction, ion exchange, precipitation, or adsorption-based separation technologies
  • Own mass balance development and process modeling for systems involving trace and regulated elements
  • Support scale-up from pilot to commercial operations with focus on safety, robustness, and regulatory alignment
  • Define process operating envelopes and control strategies for stable and compliant operations
  • Partner with environmental, health, and safety teams to support radiation control strategies
  • Support facility design considerations related to radioactive or radiologically controlled materials
  • Assess feedstock variability and its impact on process performance, waste streams, and downstream handling
  • Prepare technical documentation, design bases, and risk assessments for internal review and external stakeholders
  • Support compliant processing of complex feedstocks at commercial scale

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline required
  • 8+ years of experience in chemical process engineering within mining, metals, nuclear-adjacent, or advanced materials industries
  • Experience working with chemical systems involving radioactive or radiologically controlled materials
