Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Safety and Health Representative to lead safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and support accident prevention across multiple operations.

This role focuses on inspections, audits, incident investigations, and implementing safety programs to maintain a zero-incident environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion safety initiatives and ensure compliance with MSHA and company policies
• Conduct MSHA and OSHA inspections, audits, and incident investigations
• Develop and implement safety management systems and audit processes
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance across operations
• Identify and evaluate operational risks across mining and related activities
• Investigate accidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions
• Maintain safety databases and track audit findings
• Support development and delivery of safety training and programs

Skills
– Experience in mining, aggregates, or industrial operations required
– Knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, and related regulatory frameworks

• Knowledge of loss control and incident prevention principles
• Experience conducting safety inspections and audits
• Strong hazard identification and risk assessment skills
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Ability to work with technical systems and safety tools
